Feminine Hygiene Products (2020-2023)

Every month, girls in India skip a week of school because they lack feminine hygiene products for their menstrual cycle. Because of the pandemic, the shortage has begun to impact women living in shelters across the U.S. as well.

FemPower-Up has started raising funds to buy feminine hygiene products in bulk and distribute them to girls and women living in poverty. Recently, the organization has also distributed products to underprivileged villages in India and held conferences to educate girls on personal hygiene.

Face-Shields (2020)

While we are going through the COVID-19 pandemic, many doctors and nurses don't have enough protective-gear while treating their patients. Health professionals are unable to access necessary medical supplies to combat the escalation of corona virus.

To alleviate the shortage, FemPower-Up started raising funds and making face-shields. A total of $1,517 was raised and over 1,000 shields were made.

India Chapter (2022)

With the help of Mrs. Shilpa from Tumkur, Karnataka, FemPower-Up has raised funds and given donations to the people of India. From feminine hygiene products to lessons on managing the menstrual cycle, FemPower-Up has supported women in India. We have even sponsored a girl's education for her new school.

Additionally, to help girls learn English, FemPower-Up has joined OneProsper Learning to tutor girls personally. FemPower-Up has completed 16 tutoring sessions for 3 different girls.

Rewire Community Donations

Over the past two years, FemPower-Up has been steadfast in supporting Rewire Community, an organization dedicated to helping women facing domestic abuse. Through our recycling efforts, which involve collecting cans and bottles from family and friends, we've raised funds to purchase essential items such as hygiene products, packaged foods, children's books, socks, canned goods, and menstrual items. Our unwavering commitment mirrors our dedication to assisting victims of domestic abuse and making a positive impact in their lives.

Recycling Initiatives

FemPower-Up has been actively collecting recyclable cans and bottles as a fundraising initiative through Ranchtown Recycling Center. The proceeds from this endeavor are utilized to purchase essential items for both Rewire Community and LifeMoves Villa. This dual-purpose effort not only serves as a valuable resource for supplying daily necessities to underserved communities but also contributes to environmental well-being. By recycling materials, we are not only supporting those in need but also participating in a sustainable practice that aids in reducing our environmental footprint and addressing the impacts of climate change.
